This is one of the easiest 5/5 ratings I’ve ever given. I loved everything about this book. The story was wonderful, both of the main characters were amazing, even the side characters were all so well developed and such a joy to read about.I don’t know if I’ve ever related to a character in a book as much as I related to Teddy. Everything she felt and what she went through all just felt so relatable, that I cried multiple times just because I felt understood, in such an incredible way. And Everett was such a great character as well. The development they both go through in this book is exactly what I like to read about. They grew so much individually, which made them stronger together.Potential spoiler:One thing I really liked was that while this book did have a HEA ending in regards to relationships, it was more of a HFN ending in regards to Teddy’s career, which felt so real. I don’t always love happy-for-now endings, but when someone decides they want to find their passion, that takes time. It’s not realistic for everything to suddenly fall in to place in every aspect in life, and I love that Teddy just continues to grow and find what makes her happy.This is my new favourite read of 2021 so far. I know the year is only half over, but this will definitely stick with me for a long time. It’s like You’ve Got Mail but with more heart, more romance and more realistic characters. At first I was not happy with Teddy and her doing everything for her boyfriend, Rick the Dick, but the I started to recognize that feeling of letting the rest of the world make decisions for you by “going along to get along.” Teddy’s self esteem and finding her purpose struggles we very realistic. Her journey in finding herself was fun and inspiring. Everett as a cinnamon roll hero was just adorable and his own issues with having too much focus on his purpose was an interesting balance to what Teddy was facing. A PG rated romance with a sweet HEA.
